Five exhibitions and three conferences
Roman, story, thriller, poetry, fantastic, testimony, essays … There will be a choice for all at the Chinon book fair, scheduled for Saturday May 3 and Sunday 4, 2025. Back for the fourth time, the meeting will bring together around sixty authors. A dozen less than last year. Some have offered their arrival of themselves, which is a first. “We lowered slightly because we had too many authors. With too much diversity, people are a bit lost ”explains Jean-Paul Robert, president of the association L’Ancrier Bleu.
To attract the general public, the Chinon book fair puts on a rich program of entertainment: five exhibitions, binding demonstrations, games for young people … Three conferences are also planned; Saturday, at 4 p.m., on the memories of spies; Sunday, at 3.30 p.m., on the emergence of a new world after 1945, and at 5 p.m., on the Mailée massacre. The author Élise Rousseau, on the other hand, will come to talk about her work on the environment and animals all weekend.
