The Chartrain Center will then become one of the collection points. This solidarity operation invites everyone to do Books donation that he no longer uses, to offer them a second life and put them at the service of access to culture, education and information for all.
In support of borderless library projects
Throughout the duration of the operation, the inhabitants of Chartres can deposit novels, children’s albums, comics and other works in the Homebox center, so that they are redistributed to those who need it most.
Collected works will allow support projects led by libraries without borders:
- Creation of libraries in priority districts,
- Equipment for emergency reception centers,
- Support for the schooling of exiled children,
- Financing of projects via the solidarity resale of certain works.
In Eure-et-Loir, the center of Chartres, one of the 145 in France, therefore becomes a collection point for books with the commitment of local teams.
Participating in this operation alongside libraries without borders is a continuation of our commitments for more solidarity. By making our centers available, we offer a simple and accessible relay to support projects that make sense. To give a second life to books is to allow thousands of people to learn, understand and rebuild themselves, an ambition that our teams, fully rooted in local life, carry with conviction.
