The Emil Frey Belgium group, active in automotive distribution via its Autosphere network, finalized on March 14, 2025 the acquisition of the Walloon company AB Lens Motor, specializing in industrial vehicles. The operation takes effect retroactively on January 1, 2025.
With this acquisition, Emil Frey Belgium intends to diversify its activities and strengthen its presence on the industrial vehicle segment. The group indicates that this integration aims to meet the growing demand for the professional market, while providing new sources of turnover.
Established in Liège-Bierset, Eupen, Hotton and Fleurus, AB Lens Motor employs around 80 people and generated a turnover of 50 million euros in 2024. The company is a partner of Renault Trucks and also distributes Fiat Professional utility vehicles as well as JCB site equipment.
Alain Jacquart, co-directing of Ab Lens Motor, retains his operational functions and his mandate as administrator. His partner, Benoît Salmin, chose to retire. “The entry of Ab Lens Motor into the Emil Frey Belgium group is a unique opportunity to meet the challenges of the transition of electromobility,” says Jacquart. He also highlights the objective of continuity in customer relations.
-Frédéric Vuarin, leader of Emil Frey Belgium, evokes a “willingness to grow in a responsible manner, based on solid structures, recognized expertise and common values”.
