The exhibition “Robert Doisneau. Moments given ”opened its doors in Paris

Until October 12, the Doisneau exhibition is held at the Maillol Museum, in the 7ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. The opportunity to contemplate the approximately 350 photographs chosen for this unmissable event.

Robert Doisneau returns to Paris. Photography enthusiasts, the “moments given” Doctorate “exhibition is for you. Until October 12, 2025, more than 350 shots from this artist, recognized as the great representative of the movement of humanist photography, will be exhibited at the Maillol Museum, in the 7ᵉ arrondissement of Paris.

Designed by a police station associating Tempora and the Robert Doisneau workshop, this exhibition marks the return of Photos de Doisneau in intramural Paris, after years of absence.

Robert Doisneau was born 1912 in Gentilly, in the Paris suburbs. In the 1930s, he discovered the of photography during his four years at the Renault factories advertising service. After his dismissal for repeated delays, the photographer launched himself as an independent.

Following the Second World War, the photographer will be known for his clichés which recount his time with “a tender and benevolent amusement which must not however mask the depth of reflection, the real insolence in the face of power and the authority and the irreducible spirit of independence”, explains the Robert Doisneau workshop on his site. He in April 1994, at the age of 81.

To pay tribute to him, it was necessary to make a choice among the 450,000 shots of the collection of the photographer, for this exhibition which offers “a through the complex of an artist so often simplified which will resume here all its poetic, tender, deeply human dimension”.

“The photos that interest me, which I find successful, are those which do not conclude, which do not tell a story to the end but remain , to allow people to do too, with the image, a piece of , to continue it as it will please them: a walk of the dream, in a way,” said the photographer.
