Hockey Canada has announced that the double Olympic gold medalist and triple Stanley Sidney Crosby Cup champion will wear the “C” with the Canada national team of the IIHF World Championship 2025, which will take place from May 9 to 25 in Stockholm, in Sweden, and in Herning, Denmark.
The gold medalists of the World IIHF Championship and Champions of the Stanley Cup, Nathan Mackinnon and Ryan O’Reilly, will support Crosby as Adjoints.
“It is an honor to be appointed captain for the IIHF 2025 World Championship in a team that has so many good leaders and hockey players, and I am grateful to represent Canada at the Male World Cup for the first time since 2015,” said Crosby. Canada Amorcerason tournament against Slovenia on May 10 at 6:20 am on RDS. He also has an appointment with Latvia, France, Austria, Slovakia, Finland and Sweden in a preliminary round. The tournament will end on May 25 with duels for medals.
