Homicide in Lasalle: the son of the accused victim

Tyrell Rytar, 21, was accused Friday morning from the second degree of her mother, Lisa Marie Rytar, 42, found dead in a housing in the Lasalle district in Montreal on Thursday.

According to the prosecution, Mr. Rytar killed his mother on Tuesday.

Agents of the Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) went two days later to Lisa Marie Rytar due to a call received at 911 to request the verification of a person’s state of health. Upon their arrival, the police discovered the victim’s body.

Later during the day, the SPVM confirmed that it was murder, because the woman’s body bore traces of violence.

Conflict

According to a report by the Administrative Housing Tribunal (TAL) dating from 2021, the owner of the building in which the victim lived and his son had tried to oust them due to violent acts perpetrated by Tyrell Rytar.

The owner said that the neighbors had been disrupted and that material goods, including a window, had been broken.

According to the report of Turnthe mother and her son had a conflictual relationship and they both suffered from mental health problems.

Police would have traveled 13 times to the home of this family between May 2018 and July 2020 due to disputes between Tyrell and Lisa Marie Rytar.

The accused’s lawyer, Me Louis-Philippe Roy, does not yet know if he will request a psychiatric assessment from his client.

We will read the documents that the prosecution will give us and we can meet the customer and learn more about the said filehe said.

The legal proceedings will continue at the Montreal courthouse on February 25.

Lisa Marie Rytar’s homicide is the first murder of a woman to occur in 2025 in Quebec.
