“Becoming a volunteer firefighter is life-changing”

It was at the age of 19 that David Le Seyec started out as a volunteer firefighter. “My father and one of my uncles were when I was young. I remember that I often accompanied them to the barracks. I watched where they were heading when they went on intervention. »

In his career, he evolved under different ranks: sapper, non-commissioned officer, sergeant, warrant officer then lieutenant. In 2020, he followed a three-week training course at Ensosp (National School of Fire Officers) in Aix-en-Provence.

This allows him to become one of the nine group leaders in the Pontivy sector, and therefore to manage several teams of firefighters during an intervention.
