This Tuesday, December 17, in the morning, a series of frescoes created by the artist Hélène Michel on the theme of La ’s fables, whose animals now populate the banks of the Masse near the La Salève garages, was inaugurated.

Hikers and other cyclists who take the greenway which now links Pont-du-Casse to the city center of do not fail to admire the works of Hélène Michel, a graduate of the École nationale supérieure d’ de - and who resides in Moirax. It took the artist two months to complete an impressive series of paintings with animals often larger than life, treated with rare realism and included in very original compositions: “I had several faithful residents of the neighborhood or elsewhere who came regularly to contemplate the progress of my work, including the mayor of Pont-du-Casse, Christian Delbrel,” confided the artist who has excellent memories of his time at La Salève.

The rapidly developing eco-district

Jean Pinasseau, deputy mayor in charge of the economic challenge and real estate development, after having congratulated Hélène Michel, “your fresco is unanimous”, hastened to give some news from the neighborhood: “In four and a half years, La Villette has taken on a new appearance thanks in particular to the various frescoes which adorn it. Soft mobility has developed with the greenway which crosses it and new bus stops. We try to create a pleasant environment where people will enjoy meeting each other. »

During the years 2025-2026, several buildings will emerge from the ground: “The real estate developer Nexity will begin next year the construction of an R + 3 which will house 70 housing units, from studios to T3 (deliverable first half of the year). 2027). Two other buildings adjoining the Domitys residence will also be built. They will be made up of offices, apartments, a nursery, etc.
