The work of Ticino architect Mario Botta caught fire in 2022 and its reconstruction in version 2.0 took around two years

This unmissable place in the Vaudois Alps will be able to accommodate up to 480 people and its new budget is estimated at 30 million francs
It's hard to hope for better conditions to inaugurate the new jewel of Glacier 3000. Barely more than two years after being invaded by flames, the restaurant perched at the top of the Diablerets resort is reopening its doors with a completely new look. However, it was not an easy task. On September 19, 2022, the architectural work of Ticinese Mario Botta caught fire for a reason whose origin is unknown. The top two floors of the building went up in smoke and the winter season was damaged given that the damaged area also houses the upper station of the cable car. In the end, the metal structure was preserved and skiers have not been deprived of the glacier since.
