Horse riding is a kind of passion among members of the royal family. Whether professional or just an amateur, every member of the British monarchy has ridden a horse at least once. William and Harry played several polo matches like their father, King Charles III. Prince Andrew has been seen several times with his mother on horseback on the banks of Windsor. Zara Tindall is, for her part, a professional in this field. She even won a silver medal at the 2012 London Olympics.

The launch of Royal Ascot this June 18 was therefore a godsend for all the horse riding enthusiasts in the family. Zara Tindall came with her husband, former rugby player Mike Tindall, Lady Gabriella Windsor, whose husband Thomas Kingston suddenly died at the age of 45, came to clear her mind and enjoyed Zara’s company Tindall and Eugenie of York.

Another notable appearance: that of Princess Anne. The daughter of Elizabeth II and the mother of Zara had accustomed us to an imperturbable seriousness and always very controlled and impeccable smiles in public. But this Wednesday June 18, on the occasion of the Royal Ascot event, the sister of King Charles III had obviously decided to let go of the horses !

Princess Anne makes many grimaces

Good humor reigned in the stands at Royal Ascot. If we have seen some figures of the monarchy chilling out and having a good time behind the scenes, the princess. Anne was not to be outdone. And she seemed visibly taken aback by the spectacle offered that day. As photos prove (see our slideshow), Princess Anne continued to make pouts and grimacesignoring what people will say about it.

It is very rare to see members of the royal family letting go so much. Princess Anne, for example, had never found herself in this posture unlike her brother Charles who, recently, was seen in full laughter during an official visit. Seeing them like this humanizes them and is good for morale. Especially right now!
