The Royal Collections allow you to explore all periods of monarchical history. During the visit, youth was once again in the spotlight since Leonor and Sofia were accompanied by a group of 40 young people aged 17 to 20. The young people are the winners of the competition “What is a King for you?” “. This artistic competition is organized each year in schools to allow students to express themselves on the monarchical question. The young people present this Wednesday are the winners of the 32nd to the 39th edition of the competition.

The president of the National Board of Directors of National Heritage, Ana de la Cueva, was responsible for guiding the princesses and young people during the visit to this incredible collection which includes paintings, sculptures, tapestries, furniture, objects and accessories that belonged to the royal family or have a link with the monarchy. Once again, the Princess of Asturias demonstrated simplicity by wearing an outfit from the ready-to-wear brand Sfera. Infanta Sofia wore white pants and a sequin top from French brand Claudie Pierlot.

Once night fell, King Felipe and Queen Letizia made their last public appearance of the birthday day, always accompanied by their daughters. Together, the royal family attended an architectural projection on the facade of the Royal Palace in Madrid. The sound and light show was a retrospective of Felipe’s decade as King.
