This Saturday, June 15, Éric Dussart and Jade received Michel Cymes in We’re doing TV again on RTL, during the broadcast of the game Who sleeps, loses! The great sleep experience which he will co-host with Marie Portolano on France 2 on June 25. During the interview on the famous radio station, Michel Cymes recounted the most unusual moments he experienced as a doctor specializing in ENT.
“A moment of ’embarrassment’“
“I had moments of… How should I say… Small annoyances!“, he confided before taking a particularly embarrassing anecdote as an example. “I worked at the Boucicaut hospital, a small hospital in the fifteenth arrondissement (of Paris) where there were cubicles. And one day, a lady came to see me, she said to me ‘my ears hurt’. And she went topless!“, explained Michel Cymes, who no longer knew where to stand. “And what is very embarrassing is that the nurses regularly came in to change the compresses or to take things… I said to myself: ‘but as long as no one comes in!’ So I told him: ‘but for the ears, you can get dressed! I had a moment of ’embarrassment’, as they say among young people!“, concluded the host of France Télévisions.
Actor, but not host?
A few moments earlier, he revealed that the 2024-2025 season would surely take place without his presence on the air: “I am 67 years old, I also have other interests in life. I’m going to take my CAP cuisine in a few days. There you have it, you have to open yourself up to other things. I lived without TV before and I can live without TV after. (…) You will see me in fiction, but in terms of shows, I haven’t discussed it at all. I’m not making an appeal. For the moment, I haven’t been offered anything and that’s okay.“.
