To celebrate their mahogany wedding, the American rapper and his wife posed on social networks in a very “swaggy” style.

Twenty-seven years of marriage, no less. This Saturday, June 15, Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante Broadus celebrated their mahogany wedding anniversary, as we like to call this anniversary. The 52-year-old rapper published two photos on his social networks, from his personal albums, tagging the one who shares his life. “Twenty seven,” he soberly captioned his photographs, revealing him with her, sometimes inside a restaurant, sometimes outside, both dressed in matching pink and white jogging pants. He also wore sneakers in the same shade, while she accessorized her look with purple glasses, sandals and a Louis Vuitton bag.

First meeting

Snoop Dogg and Shante Broadus (née Shante Taylor) met in Los Angeles when they were still teenagers. The couple attended the same polytechnic high school located in the Long Beach neighborhood. After several exchanged glances throughout their journey, they graduated in 1989 and began a relationship. Eventually, they married several years later, after Snoop Dogg’s first big successes as a rapper. Their wedding ceremony took place on June 14, 1997 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in the Marina Del Rey district of Los Angeles. Together they had three children: sons Corde, 29, and Cordell, 26, and daughter Cori, 24. And if they briefly separated in 2004, this breakup did not get the better of their marriage.
