This Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in the morning, the emblematic statue of Marmande, the candy applehas disappeared from its base, in front of the entrance to the town hall.
The statue, belonging to the City of Marmande, has had a much-needed makeover. Explanations.
The Apple of Love left Marmande
Tomorrow, Thursday October 10, 2024, she will therefore leave for Lauragais Foundryin the Tarn, to undergo a restoration; Cleaning, sanding and new patina are planned.
A progress report on this project will be made in a few weeks, on November 6, 2024, with the visit of a delegation from Marmande to the Foundry and a meeting with the professionals.
“The reinstallation of the statue has not yet been determined, it will be done jointly with our teams and the foundry” explains the town hall.
