The ministry paid tribute to an actress who has given so much to Algerian culture since her debut in the world of arts in 1969, recalling that Bahia Rachedi was crowned best Arab artist in 2005.

In May 2021, President Tebboune made a similar gesture towards another great figure in Algerian cinema, the famous actor and comedian Salah Aougrout, known as Souilah. Also suffering from cancer, he was transferred to France for treatment.
