Target of fatphobia, the 25-year-old young woman received the support of several British personalities, who were outraged to see comments judging that the England international could “have better” as a girlfriend.
Anonymous accounts targeted Declan Rice and claimed he had “low standards” in his romantic relationships because he was in a relationship with Lauren Fryer, his childhood sweetheart who is now the mother of their 20-month-old son, Jude.
A discreet private life
Although Lauren Fryer still has 64,000 followers on Instagram and has kept her profile public rather than private, she has deleted all of her photos and videos due to the abuse. A contestant on the UK’s version of Love Island, Liberty Poole, defended her: “I think she’s beautiful, it’s crazy. What happened to valuing different body types and acceptance of how we are all individually made?”
