The leader of the Bloc Québécois, Yves-François Blanchet, visited the National School of Furniture and Cabinetmaking in Victoriaville on Wednesday.

After Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre on Sunday, it was the turn of Bloc leader Yves-François Blanchet to visit Victoriaville on Wednesday. During his brief visit, the politician did not hesitate to comment on the recent resignation from the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) of the MP for Arthabaska, Eric Lefebvre.

Remember that about a week ago, the latter announced that he will remain an independent provincial deputy until the next federal elections, when he will run for the Conservative Party of Canada.

Since then, the Parti Québécois has notably requested his resignation. He puts himself in an untenable position which will be toxic, both for the CAQ only for the conservatives, because Quebecers will never accept that someone is paid by one parliament in the hope of being elected in the otherbelieves the Bloc leader for his part.

Contacted by Radio-Canada, Éric Lefebvre’s team indicated that the latter will no longer comment on this matter. He has already confirmed that he will resign only when he officially files his candidacy as a Conservative candidate.

Visit to the National Furniture School

During his visit to Victoriaville, Yves-François Blanchet notably visited the National School of Furniture and Cabinetmaking. This visit had been planned for some time now, assures the politician.

This visit was an opportunity for Mr. Blanchet to highlight the importance of innovation and research in the economic and social development of Quebec. He also expressed his gratitude to the Cégep de Victoriaville for its continued commitment to innovation and excellence.indicated the Cégep de Victoriaville in a press release.
