Stopping the “Health Magazine”: Michel Cymes says he is “very angry”

The announced shutdown on May 31 of the “Health Magazine” broadcast on 5 since 1998 greatly displeases its former presenter, Michel Cymes.

Guest Thursday evening on “C à vous”, the doctor did not mince his words: “Yes, I am very angry. Marina is also very angry, because we are a collateral victim of a war between the majority shareholder of the production house, which is TF1, and France Télévisions.

He explains: “Because there was a complaint from TF1 against France Télévisions. France Télévisions reacted – I’m not going to take a position on whether they did well or not – by removing some productions, including ‘Le magazine de la santé’. Which is followed by half a million viewers on France 5 every day…”

And Michel Cymes notes: “Above all, there will no longer be any regular medical or health broadcasts, even though this is the second most important point emphasized by the French, after purchasing power. To fight against fake medical news, there will no longer be ‘The Health Magazine’ and I find that dramatic.”
