Celine Dion, the Canadian singer, decided to speak publicly about her illness, stiff man syndrome.
It is a neurological disease which has forced the music diva to cancel a lot of concerts around the world for several years now.
“The last few years have been a great challenge for me, from discovering the illness to learning how to live with it and manage it, without letting it define me.
As the road to resuming my singing career continues, I realize how much I missed being able to see my fans”she said.
To avoid having other victims of this disease, Céline Dion decided to talk about it through a documentary which will be released in a few weeks.
“During my absence I wanted to document this part of my life, to raise awareness about this little-known disease and help people who share this diagnosis,” she said in a post on Instagram.
“I am: Celine Dion” : this is the title of the documentary which will retrace the story of the singer in relation to the disease of stiff man syndrome.
It is a work produced by the American Irene Taylor and which will be available on Prime Video from June 25.
The documentary film will bring viewers “in Céline’s past and present”, according to Prime Video’s explanations.
While it’s been about 4 years since she last appeared on stage, Celine Dion indicates that she is doing her best to reunite with her fans soon.
