Animals falling from trees. Forecast.
Cold outbreak
Florida is experiencing a severe period when it comes to winter conditions. After receiving snow this week, the southern state is expected to experience a strong cold snap. Northerly winds would contribute to a plunge in temperatures with this flow of polar cold in North America. A frost warning has been issued in parts of the north as the mercury could drop as low as -7C overnight.
Strong anomaly
The cold which extends over a large part of the east of the continent would generate significant temperature anomalies. Some areas of northern Florida could see the mercury drop as much as 15°C below normal. In the south of the state, minimums could drop as much as 10°C below the seasonal average.

Consequences
This relatively intense cold spell would not be without consequences for the inhabitants of Florida. An overload of the electricity network is anticipated. Additionally, a well-known situation regarding reptiles could recur. The iguana is a cold-blooded animal that does not tolerate low temperatures. When the mercury gets close to freezing, it can downright paralyze and fall from a tree.
