Romeo Lavia’s situation is not improving

Romeo Lavia is considered one of the greatest Belgian talents of the moment, but the midfielder is often injured, too often. The RSC Anderlecht academy product completed a sensational transfer to Chelsea, but in London, Lavia is constantly on the infirmary.

Lavia left Anderlecht for Manchester City at a young age before joining Southampton. In the Premier League, he made a big impression from a young age. Chelsea did not hesitate to pay the tidy sum of 50 million euros to secure his services, but the Red Devil is faced with numerous physical problems.

When able to play and start matches, Lavia regularly stood out as one of Chelsea’s best players. So fans are looking forward to an extended period where he will be available, but Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has brought some very worrying news. Lavia’s situation seems to be going from bad to worse.
Every time he seemed close to a return, he found himself back in the infirmary. Currently, the Red Devil is still injured. “Romeo Lavia is unavailable. We don’t know exactly what it is yet, we will have to wait a little more… A few weeks,” reported Fabrizio Romano, quoting the worrying message from coach Maresca.

Bad luck

Lavia’s development is severely hampered by incredible bad luck. The midfielder’s talent is undeniable, but to hope for a place in the Belgian national team, Lavia will have to play more. With Rudi Garcia, the Red Devils have found a successor to Domenico Tedesco. Garcia will certainly be able to benefit from a player like Lavia…
