After having to postpone the TRAVELSAVERS Canada Travel Market last year due to Hurricane Helene, the event will take place June 4-7, 2025 in Orlando at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort.
Jen Mallia of TravelPulse Canada spoke with Jane Clementino, Senior Vice President of TRAVELSAVERS.
TravelPulse Canada: Why is the TRAVELSAVERS Canada Travel Market important to the industry?
Jane Clementino : The TRAVELSAVERS Canada Travel Market is a premier event in the travel industry, bringing together top advisors and suppliers for an unprecedented opportunity to connect, learn and grow. As a relationship-driven industry, travel is built on collaboration, and this leading global conference fosters these essential connections. Over three days, 1,000 industry leaders come together to participate in training, explore emerging trends and discover innovative strategies to grow their businesses. Thanks to ideas shared by renowned experts and exclusive tools, inspired and better equipped to excel in an ever-changing market, participants leave with a head start. This is an essential meeting for anyone wishing to strengthen their position in the travel industry.
TPC: How was the decision to postpone the 2024 edition made?
JC : Postponing the 2024 conference was an extremely difficult decision, but the safety and well-being of participants was our priority. The arrival of Hurricane Helene in Florida caused significant disruptions as our advisors and suppliers prepared to participate in the event. In these circumstances, postponement was the responsible decision. We are very grateful to the Travel Market community for their understanding and support of this decision. It was also heartening to see some participants turn to support our Symposium. Furthermore, our team demonstrated remarkable resilience and adaptability, meeting challenges and adjusting to the situation brilliantly. Their dedication and flexibility demonstrate the strength of our organization.
TPC: How does this year’s theme relate to these events?
JC : The theme “Connected” highlights the importance of relationships, community and unity in the travel industry. Despite the disruptions, our advisors, suppliers and employees have demonstrated the power of the bonds that unite us through their constant support and understanding. This event is a celebration of the strength of these relationships and our shared commitment to our customers and colleagues.
-TPC: What can advisors expect from the event this year? What will be new?
JC : This year, the Travel Market will feel like an annual family reunion where our community comes together to learn, connect and grow together. Attendees will have ample opportunities to learn about the latest strategies and trends designed to drive sales success. The conference will feature inspiring expert-led sessions, offering fresh perspectives and actionable approaches to enable advisors to advance their businesses. Advisors will also deepen their connections within travel stakeholders, accessing exclusive benefits that set them apart in the market. They will enjoy more interactive sessions than ever before, showcasing innovative tools and strategies to improve their marketing efforts and leverage the latest technology solutions.
TPC: What is the best advice for a first participation?
JC : For new attendees, the best advice is to fully experience the event and immerse yourself in every aspect. Attend as many sessions as possible, as each provides valuable insights and positive outcomes for advisor success. Keep an open mind, ready to learn, share and embrace new ideas. Networking is also crucial: it’s a unique opportunity to connect with experts, peers and industry partners who can inspire and support you on your journey. By fully engaging with what Travel Market has to offer, you will maximize the value of your experience and lay the foundation for your success.
