Israel announces release of 90 Palestinian prisoners

Israel announced, overnight from Sunday to Monday, that it had released 90 Palestinian prisoners, under the ceasefire agreement between the Jewish state and Hamas. Two buses with smoked windows left the Israeli Ofer prison in the occupied West Bank on Monday shortly after 1 a.m. (midnight in Switzerland), journalists from AFP and the Al Jazeera channel noted.

After the release of three Israeli women in Gaza on the first day of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the release of around 90 Palestinian prisoners was awaited by hundreds of people who came to wait for them near the prison.
