Beware of this new fine if you go to Lille
We know: given its proximity, Lille is a city popular with many Belgians. But an important change has been in effect since January 1st. In fact, you will need to have a Crit’Air sticker to get there by car. The sticker was already necessary in the past in the event of pollution peaks. It is now mandatory all the time.
Although there are no surveillance cameras yet – these are planned for 2026 – the police are, however, keeping a close watch. And in the event of an infraction, you risk a fine which can range from 68 to 135 euros depending on the vehicle.
