Lieutenant-Colonel Ninsemon Kida-Rose Alabi was appointed by the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, as Deputy Director General of Maritime Affairs, in charge of Administrative Affairs.
She is the first woman, within this administration, to occupy such a position of responsibility. Through this decision, the Ivorian president reiterates his commitment to “He for She” and his desire to promote women in decision-making bodies.
The head of the Executive signed the decree “ on a joint report from the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Transport in charge of Maritime Affairs, the Minister of State, Minister of the Civil Service and Modernization of the Administration and the Minister of Finance and Budget ».
The decision of her appointment was ratified by the Council of Ministers on December 19, 2024. This administrator of maritime affairs has once again seen her commitment and dedication to the nation rewarded.
She was awarded the National Award of Excellence for the Best Administration of Maritime Affairs (AFFA) in August 2024, alongside 77 other personalities, thus becoming the first AFFA woman to receive such a distinction.
By appointing her to this position, President Alassane Ouattara, who places the promotion of skills and gender at the heart of his strategy, encourages women to commit to producing to develop Côte d’Ivoire.
