As he had promised his voters, Donald Trump immediately signed numerous decrees to reverse certain measures of his predecessor and implement his conservative policies.
-Donald Trump signed dozens of decrees on the first day of his mandate, Monday January 20, including a series of measures against immigration, both legal and illegal. One of the texts notably plans to abolish the right of soil, which grants American citizenship to anyone born on American territory. Concretely, the new federal administration will no longer issue passports to people it deems ineligible for citizenship.
Donald Trump canceled 78 texts from his predecessor, Joe Biden. Among them, the hiring freeze for federal civil servants and the withdrawal from international treaties on climate change. Each initial was acclaimed by his supporters. And Donald Trump threw his pens to the crowd, like a rock star. Some of these decisions may be challenged in court.
