‘It’s all his fault’: Trump blames California governor for LA fires

President-elect Donald Trump seized on the fires ravaging Los Angeles to violently attack the Democratic camp and California Governor Gavin Newsom, considered one of the party’s hopes.

“Gavin Newscum must resign. It’s all his fault!!!” the Republican wrote Thursday on his Truth Social network, using a nickname constructed from the word “scum,” which means “scum.”

In another message the day before, he denounced “the crass incompetence and mismanagement of the Biden/Newscum duo.”

On the social network from Los Angeles, or expressing indignation at the announcement of $500 million in aid to Ukraine, all themes dear to the Trumpist base.

Donald Trump had already threatened in the past, if he returned to the White House, to deprive the governor of California of federal aid in the event of fires.

The 57-year-old governor is considered one of the Democratic Party’s hopes, and he is one of Donald Trump’s favorite targets.

The Republican president-elect, who will be sworn in on January 20, had also affirmed, before the presidential election on November 5, that if the vote count was “honest”, he would win California, a Democratic stronghold.

The state voted with a clear majority for his rival, Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, but the billionaire made gains in some districts.
