In preparation for CAN 2025, the sports cells of the host cities (Rabat, Marrakech, Fez, Agadir and Tangier) have been transformed into regional sports security teams. Equipped with increased human and logistical resources, they will work to secure the matches. A new regional service has also been created in Casablanca.
The 2030 World Cup requires an even more important system. In addition to the modernization of security services and the strengthening of staff, dog teams will be set up in the cities hosting the competition. The DGSN also focuses on training by joining Interpol's “STADIA” program, which promotes the sharing of expertise in security during major sporting events.

New technologies play a crucial role in the system. Twenty-six drone systems were acquired for border surveillance and the fight against trafficking. Police officers have been trained in the use of these devices and in analyzing the images.
Furthermore, training of agents is a priority. A new school will open its doors in Marrakech next January. It is part of a strategy to modernize DGSN training centers.
Finally, the digitalization of security services is underway. Command rooms will be modernized and connected to units on the ground. Artificial intelligence will be integrated into road traffic management, paving the way for “smart secure cities”.
