Zeinab Bancé sets the culinary marathon record

Zeinab Bancé places Côte d'Ivoire in the Guinness World Records. The Ivorian chef took on the challenge of cooking for more than 119 hours and 57 minutes. And the most incredible thing is that she doesn't plan to stop there. You'll have to get up early to steal his record.

She did it! Zeinab Bancé broke the record for the longest culinary marathon. The Ivorian managed to last more than 119 hours and 57 minutes to beat Alan Fisher's previous record. The chef, who started cooking on December 17 at the Agora of Koumassi, managed to keep it going non-stop, thus writing her name in golden letters in the Guinness World Records. She can now boast a world champion title, just that. But, despite having reached her goal of 120 hours preparing her dishes, she decided to continue for another 24 hours. The support of celebrities, ministers and especially the population, has undoubtedly given a boost of energy to Zeinab whose face has been marked by fatigue for several hours.

“What I am doing today is to inspire young people and show that anything is possible with work, passion and perseverance. It’s not just a record, it’s a life lesson,” said Zeinab Bancé.

Export Ivorian cuisine and help the needy

To beat this record, Zeinab Bancé had set the bar very high: 15,000 dishes in 5 days. All this while concocting 293 traditional Ivorian dishes. The most incredible thing about this adventure is that these preparations are mainly intended for families in difficulty.

Chef, entrepreneur, interior designer and event organizer, these were Zeinab Bancé's hats before December 22. Now, she can add: world record holder for the culinary marathon in the Guinness Book of Records. Magnificent!
