“During the activity of the engineering fighters of the 188th Brigade, the route of a tunnel stretching several tens of meters and leading to the headquarters of the Hezbollah command was monitored, noting that it had been used with the aim of directing terrorist plans and launching rockets, shells in the direction of villages and towns in the Western Galilee over the past year”, detailed A. Adraee. The latter stressed that inside this installation “combat assets, reconnaissance devices and other military equipment were discovered”, claiming that weapons and ammunition were also inside a mosque. “The forces of the 188th Brigade, under the command of the 91st Division, continue to eliminate threats in southern Lebanon in accordance with the agreements between Israel and Lebanon while maintaining the terms of the ceasefire,” he further indicated.
The Lebanese daily The Orient-The Day reports that on the morning of December 19 “the Israeli army booby-trapped and exploded several residences in Kfar Kila”a locality adjoining the border with Israel. Still according to the same source, IDF also uses bulldozers to raze homes in several localities in southern Lebanon, notably in Naqoura located not far from the Israeli-Lebanese border.
The ceasefire agreement provides in particular for the cessation of attacks carried out by Hezbollah or other armed groups against the Hebrew State, the cessation of IDF military operations in Lebanese territory, the dismantling of illegal production infrastructures weapons, the confiscation of unauthorized weapons, the deployment of the Lebanese army in the southern areas of the country, the withdrawal of Israeli forces after 60 days as well as the withdrawal Hezbollah north of the Litani River.
The Zionist army also recognized that a group of Israeli settlers, belonging to the messianist movement Uri Tzafoncrossed the Lebanese border at the beginning of December and pitched his tents by placing a banner “Lebanon is ours”. The organization advocates in particular the colonization of southern Lebanon. This photo caused an outcry among the Lebanese community.
Israelis pitch their tents in southern Lebanon with a banner “Lebanon is ours”. On the poster, we find the cross of David, religious symbol of the Jews, with the cedar of Lebanon in the middle. According to information from The Times of Israël, published Wednesday December 18, IDF acknowledged that“a group of settlers crossed the northern border and entered Lebanon earlier this month.” After an investigation, the Israeli army confirmed that “the civilians actually crossed the Blue Line by several meters”, near the Lebanese village of Maroun al-Ras, before being expelled by the Israeli army. This incident occurred on December 5.
“After being identified by our forces, they were evacuated from the area,” which forced the army to suspend some of its operations to intervene, according to the spokesperson. The Israeli army announced the incident more than two weeks after initially denying it. The group of Israelis who crossed the Lebanese border belong to the movement Uri Tzafon (Awake, O North), messianist organization which advocates in particular the colonization of southern Lebanon, affirming that these are territories belonging to the Jewish people. This organization, founded a few months ago, has a limited audience but has attracted media attention through several actions. Despite the formalization of the ceasefire between the Israeli army and Hezbollah since November 27, the truce between the two belligerents remains fragile.
