Greg Lindberg, a former boss of an insurance company, dreams of accomplishing his controversial pronatalist project: having a «giant white family».
Greg Lindberg, a 55-year-old American, allegedly defrauded around ten young women by offering them millions of dollars in exchange for egg donation and the abandonment of their parental rights. An investigation by the American media Bloomberg reveals that this business manager would have created a network of egg donors in order to accomplish his controversial pronatalist project: to have a “giant white family”. Her dream is to have 50 children according to those close to her. Greg Lindberg is currently the father of 12 children, nine of whom were born in the last five years.
This project was made possible according to Bloomberg thanks to the help of medically assisted procreation centers. The article emphasizes that all of these egg donations were legal, but indicates that in the United States the in vitro fertilization industry is often subject to abuse. This former president of an insurance company chose women based on their physical profiles: white, blonde women with the size recommended for models.
$1.5 million if she agreed to donate eggs
Some donors testify to the American media that they were contacted by this man via social networks, one of them recounts their meeting in 2018. “He told me that he had spotted me and that he wanted to have children with my genes”she says. He then offered her $1.5 million in exchange for egg donation. He then informed her that his assistant would be the surrogate mother. The young woman finally changed her mind and did not donate her eggs. A former girlfriend of Greg Lindberg also donated her eggs under penalty of being left by him. Today, this young woman explains that she has not seen her child for four years, because of a contract stripping her of her parental rights.
During an interview with Bloomberg, Greg Lindberg revealed his pronatalist ambitions and how he went about building his network. “I wanted to meet these people in person, at least invite them to dinner, get to know them,” he indicates. The entrepreneur then stopped answering journalists' questions and sued the media outlet for defamation, slander and interference in his relationship with a surrogate mother. The businessman was convicted in 2020 of corruption and faced up to 30 years in prison. After being released in 2022 for procedural reasons, he is once again facing charges of fraud and money laundering, with a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
Some big American bosses like Elon Musk have carried out similar pronatalist projects to encourage their fellow citizens to reproduce in large numbers. Business leaders part of this movement are convinced that the decline in the birth rate poses a greater risk to civilization than global warming.
