Compagnie des Alpes is optimistic about its profitability for its 2024/2025 financial year after a year of “record” results both for its ski areas and for its amusement parks.
For the entire staggered financial year 2024/25, the group is targeting growth in its gross operating surplus (EBO), an indicator of profitability, of “around 10%”, according to a press release published on Tuesday.
For the 2023/2024 financial year, its EBITDA increased by 14% to 351 million euros (327 million francs).
From October 1, 2023 to the end of September, the group recorded net income up 2.3% to 92.4 million euros. The turnover, already known, increased by 10.1% to 1.239 billion euros.
For the start of the 2024/25 financial year, “the dynamics of reservations for mountain stays is currently well oriented”, and “in leisure parks, the Halloween commercial period, which ended mid- November, was particularly good, with double-digit growth in activity compared to the previous financial year,” according to the group.
And “the indicators for the Christmas period are also trending well,” he adds.
“By counting on a continued growth trajectory”, Compagnie des Alpes is aiming for “an EBITDA greater than or equal to 500 million euros over a period of 4 to 5 years”, according to the press release.
For the 2023/2024 financial year, the turnover of the ski areas (La Plagne, Les Arcs, Méribel, Tignes, etc.) stands at 552.8 million euros (+13%).
The turnover of leisure parks (Futuroscope, Parc Astérix, Walibi, Grévin museum but also Chaplin’s World on the banks of Lake Geneva) amounted to 570 million euros (+8.4%) and the turnover of business in its Distribution and Hospitality section (tour operators, real estate agencies) increased by 5.5% to 116.4 million euros.

In August, Compagnie des Alpes announced that it will no longer operate the Tignes ski area (Savoie) from June 1, 2026, the town’s municipal council having decided to use a Local Public Company (SPL) to manage your leads.
Compagnie des Alpes will propose a dividend of 1 euro per share, up 10% compared to the previous financial year.
