The Secretary of State to the Minister of Solidarity, Social Inclusion and Family, in charge of Social Inclusion, Abdeljabbar Rachidi, presented, Wednesday in Manama, the broad outlines of the social state project , worn by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Speaking as part of the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, organized at the initiative of the League of Arab States, Mr. Rachidi noted that the social state project aims to promote human development and guarantee a dignified life for all citizens, through a series of programs, in particular that of the generalization of social protection.
It also involves the generalization of medical coverage through compulsory basic health insurance, the direct social assistance program, the reform of pension plans, and the housing assistance program.
Mr. Rachidi focused, in this regard, on the various public programs and policies initiated by the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, to promote the economic and social rights of women, children and elderly people, in particular the socio-economic integration program for people with disabilities.

In this regard, he highlighted Morocco's attachment to joint Arab action, noting that the consolidation of Arab cooperation and the sharing of experiences and expertise will make it possible to meet development challenges on the basis of the values of freedom, democracy, equality, dignity, justice and respect for human rights.
He also noted that the 44th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs is being held in a regional context grappling with different challenges, underlining in this regard the constant positions of Morocco, under the leadership of HM the King. Mohammed VI, President of the Al Quds Committee, who places the Palestinian question among the constants of the Kingdom's foreign policy.
Chaired by the Kingdom of Bahrain, this session was attended by Arab ministers and officials concerned with social affairs, as well as representatives of specialized Arab and international organizations.
In addition to the Secretary of State for Social Integration, the Moroccan delegation is made up of the Moroccan ambassador in Manama, Mustapha Benkhayi, and the Director of Family and Child Protection and the Elderly at the ministry. of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, Mohamed Ait Azizi.
The work of this ministerial meeting focused in particular on the examination of the results of the high-level event on productive families and entrepreneurship, held Tuesday in Manama, and marked by the adoption of recommendations aimed at supporting the projects of entrepreneurship and achieve effective social inclusion.
