Since yesterday afternoon (November 28), the leader of the RPPRAC has been in police custody at the Fort-de-France police station. According to our information, his hearing did not take place this morning as planned. The charge would be threats, attempted intimidation and incitement to racial hatred.
At midday, Rodrigue Petitot's hearing had still not started. A postponement at his request.
Mr. Petitot refused to be interviewed without his brace which was provided for by a medical prescription. For now the brace is in his car. He refused to be heard because the positioning of his arm, especially when sleeping in a cell, is quite painful.

Concerning the reasons for his arrest yesterday afternoon (Thursday November 28), his lawyer confirms the charges of “threats, acts of intimidation and incitement to racial hatred“.
It seems that the prosecution would have used article 40 which allows legal proceedings to be initiated without waiting for a complaint to be filed.
