Melania Trump reportedly made deal not to be first lady ’24/7′

If Donald Trump wins the US presidential election in November 2024, his wife would have already made an agreement with him not to be full-time first lady.

Melania Trump clearly no longer wants to play the perfect first lady. While she is already withdrawing from her husband’s campaign – she did not attend his debate against US President Joe Biden – the 54-year-old former model has reportedly already signed an agreement with him not to be First Lady full time.

“Melania has made a deal with her husband that if he wins the presidency, she will not have to be on duty as first lady 24/7,” a source told Page Six .

The reason ? Melania Trump would like to devote time to her son, Barron, who will start his studies at New York University in September 2024. She would therefore like to live between New York and Washington to provide support to her 18-year-old son. Already in 2017, during the election of Donald Trump, the former first lady had delayed her move to the White House by a few months so that her only son could finish his school year without interruption.

An “extremely protective” mother

“Barron has never been completely alone before — and with the added stress of being both a college freshman and potentially the son of a president in a predominantly Democratic town, [Melania] wants to be close,” the source added, specifying that the former first lady would feel “safe” in New York.

Unlike her husband, whose relationship with his son is rather distant, Melania Trump is said to be an “extremely protective” mother towards Barron. Last May, she even categorically refused to let him get involved in politics and become a delegate for the Republican Party in Florida. An order given to protect him from the press a few months before the American presidential elections to be held in November 2024.
