Albania, a popular destination for small budgets
Fairly little known, Albania is not yet very touristy. However, this year it is a destination that has piqued the interest of travelers. As Expedia.fr reports in one of its latest press releases, searches for flights to the capital, Tirana, have increased by 25% for this summer, and those for hotels by 35%.
What sets Albania apart from many other countries? Its prices are more than affordable. You can then easily find return flights for 600 euros per person, while the cost of living is half as expensive as in France. Suffice to say that this has many advantages for vacationers, who can then have fun on outings without fear of returning ruined!

Ksamil, a gem from Albania with a Caribbean feel
For a complete change of scenery, directly to Ksamil, in the south of Albania, 275 kilometers from the capital. Turquoise water as far as the eye can see, white sand beaches… Suffice to say that we don’t have the feeling of being only a few hours by plane from Paris! The disconnection is total! You can then relax there or go snorkeling to discover the beauty of the seabed.
It is also the ideal place to enjoy local specialties at a lower cost. As Omio, the travel booking platform for trains, buses, planes and ferries, indicates in its latest press release, you can also enjoy a Spritz, the famous orange cocktail, for less than 5 euros – although it costs on average 12 euros in Nice – while you only have to pay 2.50 euros for a pint of beer.

Between two sunbathing sessions, when you spend your vacation in Ksamil, you should definitely not miss the Butrint national park. Spread over 9,400 hectares, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. It is a major archaeological site, which covers the period from the Bronze Age to the beginning of the 19th century. This site notably houses a baptistery built in late Antiquity as well as a Roman theater and two castles. In addition to discovering vestiges of other times, you can observe more than 400 species of animals, from the common jackal to the golden eagle, including the bottlenose dolphin.
