The Israeli navy ship INS Komemiut docked at the Moroccan port of Tangier a few days ago from the United States to Israel and arrived at the port of Haifa on June 16. The ship stopped at the port of Tangier to refuel after contacting Morocco, where the equipment was transferred on board, the Israeli site said. Globes, adding that the boat turned off its tracking transponder during the transfer of supplies to Tangier. According to two independent sources contacted by Assahifa, INS Komemiut is not an Israeli warship, but rather a cargo ship that crossed the international waters of the Strait of Gibraltar, controlled by three countries: Morocco, Spain and Great Britain through the territory of Gibraltar . The same sources believe that the ship did not arrive at the port of Haifa, because the closest option, if the cargo ship wanted to dock, would be the port of Gibraltar, which enjoys autonomous governance under Great Britain, one of Israel’s closest allies in the region. Currently at war in the Gaza Strip, it is the preferred destination for Israeli ships, and not Morocco, it is claimed.

Still according to these sources, these ships often do not need to enter a port to refuel or stock up, as there are private companies in the main international ports that carry out these operations in international waters, which INS Komemiut probably did. The ship may therefore not have docked at the military port of Gibraltar used by British forces as a forward military base in the Mediterranean Sea. According to independent sources, the Israeli ship likely docked for some time in the military port of Gibraltar or in international waters, before completing its route to Israel. Regarding the ship’s shutdown of its reception and transmission devices which determine its geographical location, the same sources indicated that this is mainly due to London’s reluctance to provoke new internal tensions, the British capital being witness in recent weeks numerous human rights protests, organizations and associations calling on him not to sell weapons to Israel.
