End of suspense over the new identity of the new mayor of Tampon, who succeeds André Thien Ah Koon, after many years in this position. Indeed, this Monday, June 24, during the municipal council of installation of the future Mayor of Tampon, it is the one and only candidate proposed who was elected: succeeding his father, Patrice Thien Ah Koon was designated new mayor of Buffer. “I am fully committed to my mandate” he announced to the public and journalists present. The majority of votes were for the new mayor, seven blank votes and one draw were also recorded.

For their part, the deputies were also elected.

As a reminder, the previous mayor of Tampon, André Thien Ah Koon, was not idle during his political career, during which he held 30 mandates, going from mayor to deputy.
In 1983, he took over the town hall of Le Tampon and remained there until 2006, after a first conviction of ineligibility. After returning in 2014, he took over the reins of town hall until his last conviction for illegal taking of interest.
André Thien Ah Koon has been seven times departmental councilor, twice president of Casud, 5 times regional councilor and five times deputy.
