Sylvain Lavinia is on trial from Thursday January 23 before the Gard Assize Court for having sexually abused a child when she was five until the girl was 12 years old.
The Gard Assize Court is examining, starting this Thursday, a case of rape and sexual abuse of a little girl in the north of the department. The investigation carried out in Nîmes by a magistrate from the criminal division resulted in the indictment of Sylvain Lavinia, 68 years old.
The case is scheduled to go to trial between Thursday and Friday. The sixty-year-old is accused of having abused a child between the ages of five and twelve. This man will appear before the courts for repeat rape, sexual assault and repeat sexual offense. He is being tried as a repeat offender because he was sentenced on March 23, 2022 by the Ardèche Assize Court.
-This man is currently in detention and is expected to be tried in the prison box. The trial will be held under the presidency of Christian Pasta. Me Bulk Olivier will ensure the defense of the accused and Béatrice Lobier-Tupin will be on the civil party's bench to speak for the child.
