In less than a week, Tours VB went from an impressive and perhaps exhilarating success against Le Plessis to a hard setback in Chaumont. Michael Marshman, who moved from Haute- to Touraine this summer, wanted to remain positive despite everything.

Marcelo Fronckowiak (TVB entertainer) : “We came back in this match, but it was too late… For me, we missed the mark in the first set where we didn’t play badly but we didn’t have any offensive success… When we became more aggressive on the serve again , things are rebalancing. We are capable of playing more than that. »

Mathis Henno (Chaumont receiver-attacker): “We started the match very well. On the first two sets, there is nothing to say, overall we were very stable. In the third, there was a little relaxation on our side, we “gave” this round a little. Afterwards, it was hotter but it worked out for us. Niko’s ace (Suihkonen, 21-19) then Joe’s (Worsley, 24-21) save us from the tie-break. It gives us a lot of confidence to beat Tours, especially since we continue in . »

Michael Marshman (central du TVB): “Chaumont and Tours are two teams looking for their bearings, who need time. We had a complicated start to the season, we have to work, be patient, because the qualities are there. What I remember from this match is our progress throughout the sets, particularly in block defense. There were some great things. We now have a week to prepare for the arrival of , since we are exempt for the next match (the 5e day is in fact scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday). »
