The Laussonne site, one of the last shoe manufacturers in France, has been shut down since last fall.
Friday afternoon, the CEO as well as staff representatives were at the helm of the Puy commercial court. Several meetings had already taken place with the jurisdiction to try to find a solution for this company which has been in difficulty for several years now, in a highly competitive sector of activity.
Decision rendered on Wednesday January 29
Friday, at the end of the hearing at the commercial court, neither the CEO, Yves Poitoux, nor the staff representatives wished to speak. Only the company's lawyer made a brief statement. “We have completed the current continuation plan. We have opened the doors to potential buyers of the file. Today we have requested the conversion of the procedure into judicial liquidation,” indicated Maître Éric Pandraud, the company’s lawyer.
The commercial court did not rule. His decision was reserved until Wednesday January 29. “We hope that from that moment on, buyers will be able to identify themselves officially,” he said, adding that there were no other “possible” outcomes other than “liquidation.” judicial”.
Of the two buyers at one time in the ranks, there would now be only one.
The Boissy company had become emblematic and was the last in Auvergne to manufacture shoes. The Laussonne site still had 90 employees just 10 years ago when the new CEOs, the Poitoux couple, took over the company. There are only 38 left today.
