The success of the American remake of the series “HPI” is confirmed: renamed “High Potential” in the United States, this detective series filled with humor will return for a second season, the ABC channel announced on Tuesday.
This series, which features a gifted cleaning lady recruited as a consultant by the police, was a real hit with audiences in France. And in the United States, she also found her audience.
Since its launch in September, the pilot episode of “High Potential” has been seen by “30 million viewers”, all broadcast media combined, according to an ABC press release.
The series is broadcast on Tuesday evenings on the American channel and on the Hulu streaming platform.
The plot is transposed from Lille to Los Angeles.

Before its launch, screenwriter Todd Harthan told AFP that he was convinced that the series had “the potential to reach a huge audience”.
In addition to this American adaptation, the original “HPI” series has also been exported to around a hundred countries outside of France.
