Amira, Khader and Max are three friends. They are also partners in a small company that is starting up and produces a craft and organic beer. Going to wander in nature for a few days, the gang experiences a tragedy. One morning, Max is found dead by Amira and Khader. He was suffocated in his sleep. Very quickly, they are suspected by the police of being the perpetrators of the murder. Lucas (Arthur Prevost), who is friends with Khader, asks Bellefond to defend him. Her task is made more difficult by Christine Rigault, a famous lawyer nicknamed the “pitbull”. Followed by an average of nearly 3.7 million viewers since its launch in October 2022 on France 3, Bellefond is a solid success for the public channel. This new release broadcast at the end of January should not break the audience curve. It indeed includes all the basic ingredients of the series and, above all, can count on the still intact popularity of Stéphane Bern and the undeniable contribution of the all too rare Claire Nebout. This being said, we must also note the faults of this episode and first of all a weak storyline in substance, highlighted in form, too repetitive and not always very rigorous or coherent, reducing certain characters (in particular the one played by Anne Caillon ) to functional supporting roles, without much substance or things to defend. Despite these obvious flaws, Bellefond should gather its horde of fans this Tuesday January 21, 2025, from 9:05 p.m. on France 3.
