Louis Boyard files a new complaint against Cyril Hanouna after the broadcast of a video of “Frontières”

POLITICS – Louis Boyard fears for his safety. Threatened with death for several months, chased in the street, target of malicious calls, the La France insoumise MP now says he is vigilant by not giving, for example, any information that would allow him to be found in his private environment. But a report from the far-right media Borders has come to weaken this discretion to which he is bound.

One of the reporters went to Villeneuve-Saint-Georges in Val-de-Marne, where Louis Boyard lives and where he is running for mayor in the municipal by-election on January 26. The objective of the report, notoriously incriminating, was to question the MP’s neighbors to find out if he actually lived there. But the camera also filmed his building, his street… and the entrance to his apartment, since the team went so far as to ring the doorbell of the former high school trade unionist.

This sequence, ethically questionable, was broadcast in the show Don’t touch my post from January 16 on C8. Which greatly displeased the main person concerned. “People tried to enter my apartment without my permission. They filmed me without my knowledge, intimidated my neighbors. All broadcast on C8 by Cyril Hanouna, allowing the whole of France to identify the address of my private home”regrets Louis Boyard on X. He also reveals that he is forced to move again.

“I’m going to move again but I will stay in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges because it’s my city”explains the MP, who had already had to change his address “urgently” in 2023, when far-right activists had formulated the plan to wait for him outside his building to intimidate him.

He reveals that he wants to file a complaint against Cyril Hanouna, who broadcast the sequence on his show. “He tried to make people believe that I didn’t live in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges”he explains. This is not the first time that justice will have to resolve a dispute between the two men. The controversial host was tried on December 17 before the Paris criminal court for insults uttered in 2022 on the set of his show against the deputy. “ You’re a piece of shit”, “you idiot”, “tocard”had notably belched the strong man of C8. The judgment will be delivered on February 20.

“Respect dignity”

Louis Boyard is convinced of this: “The objective of these people is not to criticize me, but to insult Villeneuve-Saint-Georges. I will never accept it. We will never again let the media insult Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and its inhabitants”. He appears confident, and says he is convinced of “win this case”. “I will respect the dignity of the inhabitants”he assures.

In return, the Insoumis received the support of several deputies from his group. “These methods show that they are afraid of us and want to intimidate you. You will win! »estimates Antoine Léaument. “So despicable”reacted Arnaud Saint-Martin. “You show courage”endorsed Rachel Keke.

Several lists will face each other during the municipal by-election, including two on the left. That of Louis Boyard (LFI), but also that of Daniel Henry (PCF), supported by the PS and the Ecologists. Three days before the first round, on January 23, Insoumis will be able to count on the support of former presidential election candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who plans to go there for a campaign meeting.
