The emblematic columnist of “Touche pas à mon poste” revealed that she had undergone surgery following the diagnosis of a disease affecting his hearing. Still absent from TPMPhis boss and friend Cyril Hanouna gave his news to viewers.
A delicate operation for Valérie Benaïm
It was during the program “On marche sur la tête” on Europe 1 this Monday January 13, 2025 that Valérie Benaïm spoke about her prolonged absence: “I was absent because I was diagnosed with a small illness which unfortunately eventually makes me deaf, and so I had to have an operation.”
The 55-year-old columnist underlined her luck in having been able to benefit from this intervention, specifying that “Some are already at too advanced a stage of the disease for this intervention to take place.”
A few months ago, the columnist also confessed to suffering from heart problems!
A longer convalescence than expected for Valérie Benaïm
If the operation went well, the recovery period turns out to be more complex than anticipated. “Post-convalescence was a little more complicated than expected,” she confided, while welcoming the unwavering support of Cyril Hanouna during this ordeal.
The star host of C8 did not fail to provide details this Monday evening in TPMP : “She was on the radio with me [mais] she can't yet [passer] on TV because there is too much noise. Don't worry in a week it will be better. Everything is under control”
A gradual return to the air
Despite continuing difficulties – “The sound is a bit special for me there”she admits – Valérie Benaïm is optimistic. “I was lucky that they managed to operate on my hearing and that we were able to stop the disease,” rejoices the one who has been working alongside Cyril Hanouna since November 2012.
While waiting for his full return to the set of TPMPthe columnist gradually resumes her radio activities: “I missed you a lot as did the listeners of Europe 1.”
