While the future of Don't touch my post remains uncertain, the show continues to be broadcast for the moment. The president of Banijay France, Alexia Laroche-Joubert, spoke this Sunday, January 12 on France 5 in C Mediastrongly denouncing ARCOM's decision to withdraw the TNT frequency from C8.
On February 28, C8 will officially stop broadcasting on DTT after a decision by the audiovisual regulator, ARCOM, not to renew its frequency. A decision which follows several sanctions accumulated by the channel, in particular due to the excesses of Cyril Hanouna in Don't touch my post. Currently, the channel has accumulated fines of no less than 7.6 million euros from Arcom. Despite this context, C8's flagship show returned as planned. Cyril Hanouna, the star host, assures on the air that the show will continue even after the disappearance of the channel on TNT. Until when? Nothing is certain yet. Alexia Laroche-Joubert spoke on this subject.
Alexia Laroche-Joubert criticizes ARCOM's decision to remove C8
Guest of C Media on France 5, Alexia Laroche-Joubert criticized the choice of ARCOM which she considers unfair. “This is a denial of democracy. You withdraw a channel, which is the first of TNT, from an audience“, she declared. The producer does not contest the sanctions previously imposed, but deplores the current situation: “The principle of justice is when you have paid your sentence. You cannot be convicted twice. C8 paid 7,500,000 euros. They were convicted and paid their debt.”
What future for Don't touch my post ? Alexia Laroche-Joubert says she is not worried about the future of Cyril Hanouna
If the future of C8 remains unclear, Alexia Laroche-Joubert is confident about the future of Cyril Hanouna. “We are not worried about the future of Cyril Hanouna“she said, while avoiding commenting on the fate of TPMP after the removal of C8 scheduled for February 28. However, she wanted to emphasize that this decision by ARCOM affects much more than the host and his show. The producer at the head of the biggest shows on the small screen affirms that there will be significant social consequences, with the elimination of 200 jobs and a crisis for several production companies: “On the other hand, there are a lot of companies and a social plan of 200 people who will be fired because of this decision and who will not find work. Television is in a bit of a crisis.”
