There’s more to life than just video games! This series, whose first season scored a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes, is coming back soon and it promises to be just as great.
Highly acclaimed first season
Among the most anticipated series of 2025, we can unequivocally cite season 2 of Severancea show broadcast on Apple TV+ and designed, among others, by actor Ben Stiller. If you’ve never heard of it, the series caused a sensation from its first partthree years ago… Severance was then nominated in 14 categories at the Emmy Awards, notably in the category of best drama series. It must be said that the work is striking just with its concept: here, we follow Mark Scout (Adam Scoott), employee of a company called Lumon Industries and who has undergone “Severance”.

Basically, his memories are split into two parts: one for the person he is at work, and the other for the person he is outside of work (without the two being able to interact). But, the constantly working version of Mark begins to ask questions, about Lumon, about his life outside. Roughly speaking, it’s a very well-conducted critique of the excesses of modern work!
A season 2 coming soon
If we’re talking to you about it today, it’s because this season 2, it is coming soon, more precisely on January 17, 2025 on Apple TV + (in France, it will also be available on Canal+). Quite a few media have already been able to see it, and if we trust the feedback on Rotten Tomatoes (where the press rating is 100%), it would be a new masterpiece. “The 2nd season of Severance makes cognitive dissonance a breathtaking pleasure”, we can read in the critics’ consensus, on the reference site. But others are more reserved. This is particularly the case with Numériques, which evoke “frustrating” writing choices, adding “mystery to mystery” rather than answering the questions of the first season.
