-“Virgil comes to give you a hug, he knows people are aggressive on the radio with you“, announced the comedian as the canine approached Manuel Valls. Don’t worry, “He’s from the left”reassures the host. Surprised, the new minister was nevertheless able to benefit from a column to the glory of his “resilience” : “You are a kind of Pope of resilience.“After playing the title “I still believe in it” by Lara Fabian, Philippe Caverivière had fun: “This song wonderfully illustrates your career in politics.” Since his departure from Matignon in 2016, the career of the former Prime Minister of François Hollande has not been very successful, between his narrow re-election during the legislative elections in June 2017 and his unsuccessful candidacy for mayor of Barcelona in 2019 His appointment within the Bayrou government therefore caused a surprise last December.
