Season 7 ofOutlander is slowly approaching its end on Netflix. When watching the new episodes of the series, fans were all disappointed with this script choice concerning Claire and Jamie.
The wait was particularly long. A year and a half after the launch of season 7 ofOutlander on Netflix, fans were finally able to discover its sequel, broadcast at the rate of one episode per week. Based on the books The Canons of Liberty et The Echo of Distant Hearts by Diana Gabaldon, this new salvo focuses mainly on the kidnapping of Jemmy, Brianna and Roger's son, thus relegating Claire (Caitríona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) to the background.

A few months earlier, fans were already pointing out the weak presence of the couple in the first episodes of season 7 ofOutlander. “Surprise” by these remarks, the producer Maril Davis explained during an interview given to the site RadioTimes.com that its teams were simply following the plot of volumes 6 and 7 of Diana Gabaldon's literary saga. “I'm a little surprised… because we're trying to follow the books as much as possible, and this really follows the novels. Jamie and Claire will always be the center of the story, but there are other characters as well, and Diana [Gabaldon] has done an excellent job throughout this literary saga, building characters that we want to follow.”
