It’s Christmas vacation for the whole team Don’t Touch My Post. Since this Thursday, December 19, Cyril Hanouna and his columnists have been absent from the C8 antenna. But despite what has been said, they will be back on Monday January 6. As for the future of TPMP after the shutdown of C8, Cyril Hanouna wanted to be very reassuring.
The show will continue regardless.
TPMP won’t stop
It is during the daily life of TPMP on Wednesday December 11 that Cyril Hanouna first announced: “Know that normally, our friends at Arcom, this magnificent institution, would like us to stop TPMP on February 28. Please note that on February 28, we will stop TPMP for a weekend to resume on March 3.“
Subsequently, he added: “We are in the process of finding out where at the moment, know that. I would not appear before you with such hair power if I would not work every day for you, for us and all the people who work with us (…) Know that I work every day on this. So if you had planned to go on vacation in March, cancel (…) We will stop on February 27. Arcom wants us to stop on the 28th, but we’re going to stop on the 27th.”
TPMP finally back in September?
A few days after announcing this good news, the star host of PAF made another much less joyful revelation. At the microphone of Europe 1, he declared: “For now, we pretty much know what we’re going to do. We don’t know if we’re going to start it in March or September. It’s possible that we’ll start it in March, it’s possible that we’ll start it in September. A priori, we will do everything to start it in March, to continue just after the end of TPMP. So we update the teams, but everything is fine, there is only good news. There, we have the king’s choice, it’s just that we want to do things well.”
Cyril Hanouna also responded to employees who were worried about their future. “When we are in a company, we must inform the employees because there are intermittent workers, so we must say in advance if they are not taken. We prefer to say to ourselves, we are within our rights and we are legally by saying two months before: ‘You will receive a letter and you will perhaps be dismissed at the end of February, but taken back directly in March’, rather than saying we are illegal. There are constraints. legal to respect, that’s why that we spoke to the teams, there is a question of legality“, explained Cyril Hanouna.
Marianne James lets loose
If more than a million people have signed the petition against the closure of C8, some are rather delighted to know that the show TPMP will no longer be broadcast. This is the case of Marianne James who expressed her thoughts during an interview given to Free Midday. “There are always people who like crap. It’s like those who prefer to watch C8 with Hanouna and its stream of vomit, rather than going to Arte or La Cinquième”she blurted.
This is not the first time that Marianne James has tackled Cyril Hanouna. Already in 2020, she said: “He never lets go, he pricks me all the time! It’s delicious to be hated by ignorant people, it’s magnificent!”
